From an earlier video
This is material from an earlier video — the interfaces and features of AI services may have changed since. The idea and the approach still hold.
- No, not always.
How I use Gemini and ChatGPT:
🧠 When is Gemini the better choice?
Gemini wins if:
- you have a lot of information and need to make sense of it fast
- you want to automate the routine (sorting emails, analysing PDFs, searching Drive)
- you need ideas, drafts, texts, scripts
- you work with multimodality: photo, text, video at once
Examples:
- You have 30 emails → you ask Gemini to find the important ones and pull out the ideas
- You upload a screenshot → you ask it to make a presentation
- You paste in a PDF → you get an outline for an article or a game
💬 And what about ChatGPT?
Gemini is powerful, but not always stable.
Sometimes it:
- gets confused between languages
- doesn’t answer simple questions
- gives odd phrasing
So my approach is this:
| Task | Tool |
|---|---|
| Tables, emails, PDFs, videos | ✅ Gemini |
| Deep analysis, studying | ✅ NotebookLM |
| Routine tasks, creative texts | ✅ ChatGPT & similar |
✍️ ChatGPT is perfect for:
- writing emails, articles, scripts
- translation, rephrasing, fine-tuning style
- generating ideas, concepts, marketing phrases
💡 Claude and other models deserve attention too — we’ll cover them in upcoming materials and videos.
